iPhone Corporate Videography Tutorials

The following tutorials will guide you through the process of using your iPhone to shoot quality footage for corporate videos. From technical information to aesthetic tips, this playbook simplifies video production to empower CornerCap’s in-house filmmakers!

  1. LET’S GET YOUR PHONE SET UP!

Before you hit record, this will teach you how to set up your phone to make the most of its camera and capture film-quality footage.

2. b-roll 101

This one’s all about using b-roll as a storytelling tool. In our case, we’re building a library of original b-roll for multiple videos. But the concepts of sequences and how you shoot to tell different stories applies. Think: someone walking into an office, shaking hands with another person, and sitting down for a meeting.

3. HOW TO GET VARIETY IN YOUR SHOTS

The secret to making visually engaging videos is in the angles. Especially when you don’t have time to set up your shots, you want to get as many angles as possible so we have more to work with in the edit.

4. AN ENTERTAINING step-by-step OVERVIEW of corporate interview set ups

We love this one because it covers all the essentials of setting up for an interview — and the difference in your videos will be noticeable.

5. all about green screen

The first half of this video’s a user-friendly overview of how to light for green screen. Disregard the second half, since you’re shooting on an iPhone and won’t edit the videos.

6. ready, set, interview time!

Basically, it all boils down to: 1) Really listen and show that you care. 2) While conducting the interview, sit at the subject’s eye level to connect and help them forget about the cameras. 3) Explain why it’s important to answer in a complete sentence. If they forget, let them finish their answer and tell them that was great. Then, rephrase the question and remind them to give you a complete answer for editing purposes. 4) Ask follow-up questions like “How does it feel to work closely with clients?” or “Why do you love helping clients achieve their financial goals?

We’ll keep adding more tutorials here, as needed.

In the meantime, let me know if you have any questions or if you need follow-up videos on any of these topics!
